Only one peerage was bestowed today in King George V's Birthday honors, and that peerage is conferred upon the king's second son, Prince Albert. He now becomes Duke of York, Earl of Inverness and Baron Killarney.
King George V was also bestowed with these titles by Queen Victoria. When he succeeded his father, Edward VII, the ducal titles reverted to the crown for recreation.
