Hugo Burnand |
Clarence House released three photographs by official photographer, Hugo Burnand. The photos showed the newlyweds TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with the bridal party, with their immediate families, and together. No photos were released showing the couple with other members of the Royal Family or the group photo with members of foreign royal families. Perhaps such group photos were not taken. William is second in line to the throne, and this was not a state occasion. Perhaps it was a time issue, as the photos were taken after the couple returned to Buckingham Palace and before they went out on the balcony. Andrew Roberts, the British historian commenting on NBC, lamented that the entire Royal Family did not come out on the balcony.
The photographer certainly took more than three photos. There are probably several different versions of each of the three photographs that were released, The photograph probably took photos of the bride alone, with her family, with her husband and his family. There are probably photos of William alone, with his brother, with his family.
No doubt Burnand took hundreds of photos, and most will be seen only by William and Kate and their families, which is how it should be.
