Queen Victoria of Sweden is stuck in Bavaria, and is unable to get home, according to the New York Times, which bases its report on a Stockholm newspaper, the Afton Tidningen.
For the "last five months, Victoria, the consort of Gustav V, has been living with her mother, the Grand Duchess of Baden at Schloss Langenstein, which is near the Swiss border. She has not been able to "make the short trip, fearing disagreeable experiences on the way." The German government has also advised the queen to remain at the schloss for the time being.
