Archduke Franz Ferdinand, eldest son of Archduke Karl Ludwig, heir presumptive to the thrones of Austria and Hungary, "is suffering from congestion of the lungs," reports the New York Times. He will have to "take a complete rest for several months."
The 31-year-old Archduke is considered one of the most eligible heirs in Europe, and has been linked to several archduchesses, including the daughters of Archduke Friedrich and his wife, Isabella.
