The Countess Montignoso, formerly the Crown Princess of Sweden, has sent a letter to a Swedish friend living in Berne, "saying that the rumors published in the European and American newspapers that she had been interned in a Belgian lunatic asylum were absolutely unfounded," according to a dispatch sent to the New York Times. The Countess wrote that "she was neither interned nor in an asylum, but was residing privately in Brussels, and enjoying the best of health."
