Former Crown Princess Cecilie of Prussia sailed on board the Ancona for Buenos Aires today, reports the Chicago Tribune Press Service. The wife of the former heir to German throne is on her way to Argentina to "please with her favorite grandson, Prince Louis Ferdinand, to give up his job as a laborer" and return to the family to celebrate his parents' 25th wedding anniversary on June 6. She also wants to "look over" the prince's girl friend, the daughter of the Argentine multimillionaire, Carlos Tornquist.
After "his adventurers in Hollywood, where he scandalized his family by his affair" with screen actress Lily Damita," Prince Louis Ferdinand is working at the Ford plant in Buenos Aires.
Although the head of the Crown Princess' household has denied that Louis Ferdinand is engaged to the Argentine heiress, "Prussian dowagers smile knowingly." The Hohenzollerns need an infusion of cash to "carry on propaganda in an effort to regain the throne."
