Former Empress Auguste Viktoria of Germany "has been in bed several days, suffering from heart trouble and is in a very precarious state," according to a special cable to the New York Times. It is said that "there is not much hope for her." The former empress has "much agitated" by events in Germany, as well as the news about her son, August Wilhelm's divorce. One "reliable source" states that Auguste Viktoria's condition "has become so grave that the announcement of her death may be expected at any moment."
