The wedding of the Hereditary Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg

Stéphanie was escorted down the aisle by her oldest brother, Count Jean de Lannoy, as her 91-year-old father, Count Philippe, is confined to a wheelchair.  He was able to stand with assistance when Stéphanie arrived at the altar.  She and Guillaume greeted him with affection.

I got up at 3:45 a.m., to watch Wort's livestream of the wedding and the balcony scene.   I went back to sleep about 8 a.m., and woke up a few hours later with one of my seasonal migraines.  It has taken an entire to rid myself of the pain and then the drain one feels.

The gown was designed by Elie Saab.  Stéphanie wore the de Lannoy family tiara, which her sisters and sisters-in-law wore on their wedding days.
