The photo of Alexandra with the small diamond crown of Queen Victoria is the first time I have ever seen anyone other than Victoria wear it. Is it known if any other member of the royal family has worn it?

Also, Alexandra was known to be a fabulously beautiful woman but it is also noted that many later pictures of her were retouched. Do you know which ones have been retouched and which ones have not? I would be interested in finding out what is the latest known unretouched photograph of her. Someone, I think, said that she looked rather ghostly (not ghastly) in her later years because of her pale complexion and the use of veils.

Also, wasn't Alexandra actually born Princess Alexandra of (Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-) Glücksburg?

Charles, I am not a jewellery expert. Nor do I know what photos have been retouched. These are all postcards in my collection.

Is it known if Queen Alexandra had a fond relationship with the Duchess of York? I suppose Elizabeth and Bertie would have been married for nearly 2 years before the queen died.

What I most would like to know is whether or not Queen Alexandra's garden is still maintained at all. Somehow it seems fitting to me that this would have been something to commemorate her.
