Helen bids son farewell

November 2, 1932

Eleven-year-old Crown Prince Michael of Romania gave his mother, Princess Helen, a goodbye kiss and asked her to 'come back soon,' reports the Associated Press.  Michael was taken to Sinaia after spending the afternoon at Kishiloff palace in Bucharest, which has been Princess Helen's temporary residence.

Princess Helen will leave tomorrow for Florence.  Although her departure has not been "officially announced," it is known that she has refused the use of the royal train, and will travel by first class on the Simplon Express.

She and her former husband, King Carol, have come to a settlement, which was reached yesterday.
