Charlotte von Siebold has arrived at Kensington Palace

One is hearing whispers that the Duchess of Kent is preparing for her confinement. The "celebrated female accoucheir" Dr. Charlotte von Siebold is at Kensington Palace, where she will help deliver the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Kent.
Fraulein von Siebold, a qualified doctor, had accompanied the Duke and Duchess of Kent on their trip from Amorbach to England in case, the Duchess went into premature labor.
The royal party arrived in England on April 23, St. George's Day.
The infant prince or princess will be 5th in line to the throne after the Prince Regent, the Duke of York, the Duke of Clarence and the Duke of Kent.
Marian Theodore Charlotte Heidenreich von Siebold was born at Heiligenstadt on September 12, 1788. She is the daughter of Damian and Regina von Siebold, both of whom are physicians. Miss Siebold received a degree in obstetrics from Gòttingen University in 1815.
She is expected to be in Coburg in the late summer as the Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Saafeld, who will give to her second child in late August.
The Duchess of Saxe-Coburg is married to Duke Ernst I, the older brother of the Duchess of Kent.
David Daniel Davis, the physician accoucher at the Queen Charlotte Lying-In Hospital, is expected to be the attending physician when the Duchess of Kent gives birth. He was born in Wales and studied at the University of Glasgow, where he received his medical degree in 1801.
