Duke of Parma dead at 66

The Duke of Parma died today at his home, the Villa Delle Pianore, near Capezzana, reports the Associated Press,. He was 66 years old. The Duke was the head of the house of Bourbon-Parma.
Prince Enrico Maria Alberto Ferdinando Carlo Pio Luigi Antonio Duke of Parma and Piacenza, was born at Schloss Wartegg on June 13, 1873. He succeeded his father, Duke Robert, upon the latter's death, in November 1907. His mother, Princess Maria Pia of Bourbon-Two-Sicilies died in September 1882, following the birth of a twelfth child, a son who lived for only a few years.
The Duke attended the wedding of his half-brother, Prince Luigi to Princess Maria of Italy on January 23.
The Duke of Parma, who was not married, was succeeded by his brother, Prince Giuseppe Maria Pietro Paolo Francesco Roberto Tomaso-d'Aquino Andreas-Avellino Biagio Mauro Carlo Stanislao Luigi Filippo Neri Leone Bernardo Antonio Ferdinando, who was born in 1875. He is not married.

How come he remained unmarried and without children? I imagine as heir he would be quite a catch! Or were his learning and cognitive disabilities so bad?
A good percentage of the children from the first marriage were mentally disabled.
