Nicholas II, according to a Reuter dispatch from Petrograd, "has confirmed the dissolution, pronounced by the Holy Synod, of the marriage of his sister,. the Grand Duchess Olga, to Duke Peter of Oldenburg." According to Nicholas's decree, Olga "retains her imperial title and is permitted to remarry."
Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna is the youngest child of the late Alexander III and his wife, Princess Dagmar of Denmark, who took the name Marie Feodorovna, when she converted to the Russian Orthodox church, She was born on June 1, 1882, She married Duke Peter on July 27, 1901.
The couple have no children.
