Queen Victoria of Sweden is unable to leave Bavaria, and return to Sweden, according to the New York Times. Their dispatch is based on a report in a Stockholm newspaper, Afton Tidningen.
The Queen has lived for the last five months with her mother, the Grand Duchess of Baden at Schloss Langenstein, near the Swiss border. She has not been able to make the short trip "fearing disagreeable experiences on the way." The German government has also advised Victoria to remain at the schloss for the time being.
