An official announcement was made earlier today regarding reports of an engagement between Prince Arthur of Connaught and Princess Irina Alexandrovna of Russia. According to the New York Times, the report of the engagement has been denied. Prince Arthur, the only son of the Duke and Duchess of Connaught, is not going to marry Emperor Nicholas II's niece.
