Archduke Ladislas of Austria died today at Alscut, his family's estate near Budapest, as the result of the wounds from the "premature discharge of his rife while shooting" on September 2, reports the New York Times. The bullet "penetrated his thigh. This caused an explosion of cartridges in his pocket, which lacerated and burned his loins."
The Archduke was 20 years old and unmarried.
