The Paris correspondent for the London newspaper, Standard telegraphs that Archduchess Maria Cristina of Austria has arrived in Paris and has met former Queen Isabel. A Paris dispatch to the London Daily News is reporting that the Archduchess has invited Queen Isabel to her wedding, and Isabel "has accepted the invitation," reports the Chicago Daily Tribune.
The date for the marriage between King Alfonso XII and Archduchess Maria Christina of Austria will take place on November 28. It is understood that a "commission composed of Spanish Senators and Deputies" will travel to Vienna to escort the bride to Spain "by way of Trieste and Barcelona. The ship carrying the archduchess to Barcelona will be "escorted by four iron-clads."
