HRH Prince Rasso Maximilian Rupprecht of Bavaria died today at the age of 85. He was the youngest of six children of Prince Franz of Bavaria and Princess Isabella of Croy. On October 17, 1955, Prince Franz married HI & RH Archduchess Theresa of Austria. They were the parents of seven children: Princess Maria Theres, who lives in Hungary with her husband, Count Thomas Kornis v Gönca-Ruszka and their children; Prince Franz-Josef, a priest; Princess Elisabeth, who is married to Count Andreas von Keufstein; Prince Wolfgang; Princess Benedikta, Baroness von Freyberg-Eisenburg; Prince Christoph; and Princess Gisela, whose husband, Prince Alexander von Sachsen-Gessaphe is the heir to former Saxon throne.

The late prince, a grandson of King Ludwig III of Bavaria, is survived by his widow, Archduchess Theresa, their seven children and numerous grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Princess Dorothea, Archduchess Gottfried of Austria.
