King George V has consented to his first cousin, Princess Patricia of Connaught's wish to relinquish her title of Princess when she marries Captain Alexander Ramsay of Mar in February. The popular Princess Patricia will renounce the title of Princess and the style of Royal Highness, and will be known as The Lady Patricia Ramsay. She will also receive a "considerable fortune" from the estate of her late mother, the Duchess of Connaught.
