Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh are having a "private holiday at the country hideaway," a wedding gift from the people of Kenya, reports the Associated Press.
"I cannot tell you how much we are looking forward to it," the Princess said at a luncheon yesterday in Nairobi. She described the lodge as "an original and generous gift. It will often bring us back to visit you."
The lodge is located in the foothills of Mount Kenya. The princess and her husband plan to remain there until Thursday before continuing on a royal tour of Australia and New Zealand and "home by way of Bermuda."
