Lord Lascelles, who will marry Princess Mary, has picked his best man. It was officially announced today that Major Sir Victor Mackenzie will be the best man, reports the New York Times,
Mr. Mackenzie served in the Great War, and has a distinguished war record. He was "twice wounded," and mentioned in the dispatches.
The palace also announced that "women attending the wedding will not be required to wear Court dress, men civilians will have to do so."
