Nicholas II and the Grand Dukes, "attired in Austrian uniforms," were at the railway station today in St. Petersburg to "cordially welcome" Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir presumptive to the Austrian throne, reports the New York Times.
The Archduke, nephew of Emperor Franz Josef, dined "with the imperial family, and later the entire party attended a gala performance at the Hermitage Palace.
