News and commentary about the reigning royal houses of the United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Spain, Monaco -- and the former European monarchies as well.
The Queen has been such a staple for tradition and longevity, and a source of pride and honour for the British people.
She dedicated her life to her role and to the people of the British public. She enjoyed over seventy years of her reign and will always be remembered for her dedication.
God bless her and her family. Waking up to the news was like an arrow to my heart. I knew she was slipping away since Philip passed but it was still saddened more than I thought I could ever be by the death of someone I have known my entire life while having never met.
I am much sadder than I thought I would be. In spite of all her health issues of late, her death has struck me like a thunderbolt. May she rest in peace in the company of her beloved Philip, her liege man of life and limb, together forever. What a noble lady she was!
I'm a bit sad, but I think this was a beautiful way to go. She celebrated 70 years on the thrown. The UK needed that party after the pandemic, so she stuck around so they could have it. Two days ago she facilitated the passing of the baton from one PM to the next, why not pass on her own baton? She was at Balmoral, her heaven on earth, now she is with her prince in the next realm. She did this her way.

We really loved our Queen. May she rest in peace. We thank God for her life and example. We pray for the King and Queen Consort.
R.i.p.
The world will never see her like again.
I have no words but to say: Thank you for everything, Madam.

She served to the end, just as she promised.
