Archduchess Elisabeth of Austria, sister of Archduchess Maria Dorothea, who died last week, announced today "that she was entering a convent," according to the Associated Press.
The two sisters "lived a secluded life in recent years" at the family's Alscut estate in Hungary. It was the death of the Maria Dorothea, widow of the Duke of Orléans that strengthened the 60-year-old Elisabeth's "desire to pass her remaining days in a convent."
