The Prince of Wales will be making a short visit to the United States, according to a Clarence House announcement. The heir to the throne will travel to Washington, D.C., and pay a call on President Barack Obama at the White House.
He will also give the keynote speech at at conference on sustainable agriculture at Georgetown University, and will also attend a reception "to support British and American armed forces deployed overseas."
The Prince will not be accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall. His last visit to the United States was in 2007, when he and the Duchess of Cornwall visited Philadelphia and New York City.
President Obama will be traveling to Britain later in May for an official state visit, which begins on May 24.
