Cantacuzene engagement announcement

August 30, 1928

By special cable to the New York Times. Major General Sir John Hanbury- Williams, marshal of the diplomatic corps, today announced the forthcoming marriage of his son, John C. Hanbury-Williams to Princess Zenaida Cantacuzene. The couple will be married in Washington, D.C., on November 1.
Mr. Hanbury-Williams and Princess Zenaide have known each other since childhood, "when Sir John headed the military mission to Russia and Prince Cantacuzene was aide de camp to Grand Duke Nicholas."
The Cantacuzenes have lived in the United States since the Russian Revolution.
Princess Zenaide is the daughter of Major General Michael Cantacuzene and Princess Cantacuzene, who is the former Julia Grant. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late General Frederick D. Grant, and a great-granddaughter of the late President Ulysses S. Grant.
The engagement was officially announced in July in Paris.

you're back!

just out of curiosity, WHY is your book so freakin expensive?!? i mean i know YOU don't set the price, i'm just wondering if you might know why it costs so much. when i was looking for a line of succession book (found one i love btw) i saw your victoria's descendants book, but it was out of date so i never even looked at the price.

then, in this month's Majesty magazine, your 2nd edition (i think that's what it is) is in the back on the page with books & dvds. and i'm like "oh hey, great! i kinda know her, i've wanted this, let's get it!" and then i saw the price & it was something like $65!!! that's as much as my textbooks used to cost!

any idea what places might sell it at a slightly lower price? i know Majesty's stuff is usually overpriced, but seriously, at that price i gotta wait til Christmas and... well... i don't want to. :-P

any help you can give to point me in the right direction would be most greatly appreciated!

I sell the second edition for $46.00 and the companion edition for $35, but the companion is now totally out of print. My publisher is a very small publisher - so costs are going to be higher.
