HRH Prince Aimone of Savoy, Duke of Apulia, and HRH Princess Olga of Greece were married in a civil ceremony at the Italian embassy in Moscow, Russia, on September 16th. A religious wedding will take place on Patmos on September 27th.
Why Patmos, you may ask. Prince Michael and Princess Marina of Greece have had a summer home on Patmos for more than 20 years now. Thus, the perfect place for their daughter's marriage to the future head of the Italian royal family.
This information was confirmed to me by a family member.

so,if they are already married,congratulations !
Since when are the Aosta's future heads of the Italian royal family and what about the Savoies?
I will be glad to see a picture of the wedding,
Hélène
King Umberto never approved of his son's marriage -
Here is a the Duke of Aosta's site - with copies of the correspondence regarding Umberto's view.
Even Maria Gabriella has recognized the duke of Aosta as the de jure king. Moreover, Filiberto Emanuele and his wife have only daughters.
Olga and Aimone made it clear that they did not want a grand wedding but a private family wedding. That's their choice, and their right.
italy is now a republic.and there are no reasons to change this in the future.anyway, the savoias (aosta or the others) are not wanted anymore as rulers in the country.
I wonder if there are any photos..? I'd love to see Olga as bride, even a low-key one! :) She is very pretty.
But it is somehow difficult to believe that religion would not be a problem here. Queen Sofia of Spain did convert - she was Orthodox before her marriage to Juan Carlos...
As we now know the date and place, I think we can expect a few photos of the wedding..
