Hereditary Prince Leopold of Baden to marry Katharina von Baumbach

HRH Hereditary Prince Leopold of Baden is engaged to marry Katharina von Baumbach, according to a press announcement from the Margrave of Baden's office.

Prince Leopold Bernhard Max Michael Ernst-August Friedrich Guillaume is the eldest of three sons of HRH Bernhard Max Friedrich August Gustav Louis Kraft, Margrave of Baden, and his wife, Stephanie Anne Kaul.  Katharina Tatjana Ilse Marie von Baumbach is the daughter of Ernst Wilhelm Ferdinand von Baumbach and his wife, Andrea.   

Hereditary Prince Leopold. 24, studied international relations in Munich and at Reichman University in Tel Aviv. He founded Patterno, which helps "companies find, qualify, and bid on public tenders, without the manual work."

Miss von Baumbach, 27, is described as a "self-employed event manager" in Munich.  Her father, Ferdinand, owns Boehringer Ingelheim, a global pharmaceutical company.  The Boehringer/von Baumbach family is said to be Germany's wealthiest family.  Their fortune is estatimate at €66.7 billion.

As one of Boehringer Ingelheim's heirs, Miss von Baumbach's personal fortune is estimated at $6.3 billion.  She and her three brothers, Johannes, Franz, and Maximilian, each own an equal share in the firm.

Leopold is a descendant of Queen Victoria.
