Bruun-Rasmussen, a Danish auction house, will be selling art and antiques from Schloss Glücksburg,
We are proud to present an exceptional collection of antiques and artworks with distinguished ducal, princely, and royal provenance. This collection originates from the Cavalry House at Glücksburg Castle and tells many stories about the site’s strong connection to the Danish royal family.
"Since 1919, The Cavalry House at Glücksburg Castle has been home to the four sisters, Their Highnesses, the Princesses Elisabeth of Ysenburg and Büdingen (1945–2024), Irene (b. 1946), Margaretha (b. 1948), and Sibylla Ursula of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (b. 1955), along with their parents and grandparents. For generations, the residence has housed the family’s antiques and art. Most of this collection will now be available at an Online Auction on 3 November 2 pm at bruun-rasmussen.dk. The preview is open at the auction house at Nørgaardsvej 3 in Lyngby from 23 October."
