Crown Prince Leka welcomes Nicolas and Alina-Maria de Roumanie

Crown Prince Leka with his fiancée, Blerta, Celebashi,  and Alina-Maria and Nicholas de Roumanie

"Prince Leka had the pleasure of welcoming Nicholas of Romania and Alina-Maria of Romania during their recent private visit to Tirana and Ksamil in southern Albania.

The visit was a gesture of friendship and mutual respect, reflecting the long-standing ties between the Albanian and Romanian Royal Families. Following the Second World War, King Carol II of Romania offered refuge and support to members of the Albanian Royal Family during their years of exile, a gesture remembered with deep gratitude.

Nicholas of Romania, grandson of King Michael I and great-grandson of King Carol II, represents the continuation of this historic bond. His visit to Albania reaffirmed the enduring friendship between the two nations united by shared values, cultural understanding, and a common respect for their historical legacy."

I thought Nick is not a PRINCE ? Why is he referred to as de Roumania and not by his surname ?

Unless his Aunt has forgiven him, he is still where his grandfather, the late King left things.

Because that’s the surname he uses. The press release is a bad translation. He’s not referred to as Prince Nicholas.
