Several months ago came the news that Prince Christian and Princess Alessandra (Sassa) of Hanover were expecting their third child in early 2024. Now comes the announcement that Christian's older brother, Hereditary Prince Ernst August, and his wife, Prince Ekaterina, are expecting their fourth child in a few months.
The two sons are the only children of Prince Ernst August of Hanover and his first wife, Chantal Hochuli.
The younger Ernst August and Ekaterina Malysheva were married in July 2017. They are the parents of three children: Princess Elisabeth (2018), Prince Welf August (2019) and Princess Eleonora (2021).
The family lives in Gmunden, Austria.
Prince Christian and Alessandra de Osma were married in March 2018. They are based in Madrid where the princess designs handbags. They are the parents of twins: Prince Nicolas and Princess Sofia, who were born in 2020.
Hereditary Prince Ernst August and Prince Christian's father, Prince Ernst August, has been spending most of his time in Spain as he is romantically involved with a Spanish artist, Claudia Stillianopoulos.
The couple met in Ibiza in July 2021. Prince Ernst August and his second wife, Princess Caroline of Monaco, have been separated for more than fourteen years, but have not divorced.
Claudia is 20 years younger than Ernst August. She is the daughter of the late José Manuel (Mike) Stilianopoulos y Estela who served as the Philippines's ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1977 to 1982 and Doña Esperanza (Pitita) Ridruejo.
