Prince Andrew of Greece, a younger brother of King Constantine, "has died from wounds received in fighting near Bruna, according to a Constantinople dispatch to the London Evening News, "quoting a Turkish announcement, which was sent to the Associated Press by cable.
Prince Andrew was the third son of the late King George I of the Hellenes. He was born in Athens in January 1882, and served in "the Greek army during the Balkan war of 1912. In the current war, he was "reported to be in command of a division at the front." Andrew married to Princess Alice of Battenberg in October 1903.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, and four daughters, Princesses Margarita, Theodora, Cecilie and Sophie. Princess Andrew is expected to give birth to a fifth child in June.

An unfortunate mistake by the original writer,as Prince Andrew did not die until 1944, in Monte Carlo.

No criticism of yourself implied in my earlier comment, Marlene - rather of the Turkish announcement. I would imagine this kind of false news of deaths would have happened rather a lot in royal circles - rather traumatic for those concerned.
