A Prussian royal wedding in June

Prince Joachim of Prussia is to marry Countess Angelina zu Solms-Laubach on June 29, 2019, in Berlin.

Prince Joachim,  34, is the third and youngest child of the late Prince Friedrich Wilhelm of Prussia and his second wife,  Ehrengard von Reden.  Countess Angelina, who is 35, is the second of four children of Count Friedrich Ernst of Solms-Laubach.   She was born in Southampton, New York, on October 1, 1983.

Count Friedrich-Ernst is a member of a collateral branch of the Solms-Laubach family as he is a descendant of Count Ernst, a younger brother of  Friedrich Ludwig Christian, 5th Count of Solms-Laubach.  He and his family live at Schloss Dorheim in Friedberg,  in Hesse.  The  Schloss was built in the 13th century but the original building was replaced in the mid-1700s with a three-story Baroque mansion.  It was at this time when the Schloss was purchased by the Counts of Solms-Rödelheim.  The estate was sold in 1930 to the local Lutheran parish which used the house as a rectory.   Count Friedrich Ernst purchased in the estate in 1969.

The bride-to-be owns a design firm, Solms Design, which has offices in Frankfurt-am-Main and Berlin.   She received a degree from the Universität der Künste in Berlin and studied architecture at  Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris La Villette.

Prince Joachim is a Manager at Accenture's Berlin office.  He has been with the firm for nearly two years.  Prior to joining Accenture, he worked for five years with the Hackett Group in Frankfurt-am-Main.   He has a Master's in Management from ESCP Europe.  His undergraduate degree is in Economics from Bonn University in 2006.

Joachim has two older siblings,  Friedrich Wilhelm, a lawyer, and Viktoria Luise, who married the Hereditary Prince of Leiningen in September 2017, and an older half-brother, Philip, a Lutheran pastor.

The late Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia, who succeeded his father, Crown Prince Wilhelm, as head of the former ruling house, would certainly be pleased to see his grandchildren marry members of the other noble families.   ]

Joachim's first cousin, Prince Georg Friedrich, is the head of the house, having succeeded their grandfather in September 1994.

Are the Solms-Laubachs a mediatized House? Is this marriage considered dynastically Equal?

Yes to the first part but Joachim is not a dynast in Prussia or a royal highness as his father renounced his rights and the rights of his descendants at the time of his first marriage.
