Another girl for Frederik and Ingrid
August 30, 1946
Crown Princess Ingrid of Denmark gave birth to her third daughter today in Copenhagen, reports the Associated Press. Mother and child are said to be in "good health."
Crown Princess Ingrid is the wife of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, the heir apparent to the throne.
The unnamed princess has two older sisters, Princess Margrethe, 5, and 2-year old, Princess Benedikte. Women cannot succeed to the throne in Denmark. Crown Prince Frederik's younger brother, Prince Knud, is second in line. He and his wife, Princess Caroline Mathilde, have one daughter, Princess Elisabeth, 11, and two sons, Prince Ingolf, 6, and three-year-old Prince Christian.
