Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands was visited today by Prof, Kouwer, an eminent gynecologist, according to the New York Times. It was announced a week ago that the Dutch queen is expecting an heir to the throne.
She now "spends most of her time in her private apartments," and only receives visitors on "urgent affairs." She has given up her carriage drives, but does take an occasional walk in the park.
According to the Dutch newspaper, the Vaderland, "while no anxiety is felt, the queen's condition has caused her great weakness," and, for the last two days, she has remained confined to her bed.
