HH Duchess Tatjana of Oldenburg and Count Axel de Chavagnac were married today in the chapel at Schloss Eutin.
One of the A-list guests at the wedding was Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia, head of the house of Prussia, who said the wedding ceremony was "very moving. He added he hoped that his wedding one day will be as beautiful.
More than 200 guests attended the private ceremony, as the castle was closed to the public. The couple were married according to the rites of the Lutheran church. As the groom is Roman Catholic, the service was ecumenical as a Roman Catholic priest took part.
The music, played by the organist, included selections from Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. The couple chose the First Letter to Corinthians as the primary reading.
