In 2010, Spain's national soccer team won its first World Cup. The Prince and Princess of Asturias, with their two young daughters, Infanta Leonor and Infanta Sofia, welcomed the team to Zarzuela Palace for a reception.

Fast forward to 2026. The Prince and Princess of Asturias are now King Felipe VI and Queen. They and their now-adult daughters, Leonor, the Princess of Asturias, 20, and Infanta Sofia, 19, were present at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, when Spain defeated Argentina to win a second World Cup.

In the 16 years since Spain was first presented the World Cup trophy, the princesses have grown and changed but the FIFA trophy has remained looking exactly the same!
