There is another princely engagement to celebrate as HSH Prince Johannes Eberhard Wittekind of Waldeck und Pyrmont recently became engaged to Miss Victoria Scheder-Bieschin.
The prince, who was born on July 7, 1993, at Arolsen, is the third son of the late HSH Wittekind Heinrich Georg-Wilhelm Prince of Waldeck u.Pyrmont (1936-2024) and Countess Cecilie von Goëß-Saurau (Aug 1956). He has two older brothers: Carl-Anton, who is the current Prince of Waldeck und Pyrmont, and HSH Prince Josias Christian Alexander, Johannes' twin.
Miss Scheder-Bieschin earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science from the International School of Management in Dortmund, Germany. She currently works in Munich as a Program and Project Manager with Accenture DACH. She sis the daughter of Miguel Scheder-Bieschin and Edy Lopes.
Prince Johannes's family home is Schloss Arolsen.
Victoria and Johannes are eighth cousins, sharing a line of descent from Philipp Karl, Count of Oettingen-Wallerstein (1722-1766) and Countess Charlotte Juliane of Oettingen-Baldern (1728-1791) through two of their daughters, Countess Maria Eleonore (1747-1797) and Countess Sophie Therese (1751-1835), who married Johannes I, Prince of Schwarzenberg and Joachim Egon, Landgrave of Fürstenberg-Weitra.

Victoria is a descendant of Maria Eleonore and Johannes' line is from Sophie Therese. Maria Eleonore's grandson, Felix, Prince of Schwarzenberg (1800-1852) and his mistress, Jane Elizabeth Digby, daughter of Admiral Sir Henry Digby and Lady Jane Coke, daughter of the 1st Earl of Leicester, were the parents of a daughter, Mathilde Selden (1829-1885) who married Anton von Bieschin zu Bieschin (1814-1898).
