Ambre Knatchbull, the wife of Nicholas Knatcbull, heir to the Mountbatten earldom and Brabourne Barony, recently gave birth to a son, Hon. Alexander Knatchbull. The birth was first reported by the Daily Mail's Richard Eden.
Nicholas does not use the courtesy title Lord Brabourne.
The baby's full name and date and place of birth have not been made public.
Nicholas is the eldest child of the Earl and Countess of Mountbatten. He married the French-born Ambre Pouzet in a civil ceremony at Broadlands on May 22, 2021.

Why does he not use the title?
The Bradbourne barony is in possession of his father and is not a subsidiary title of the earldom. As a lesser title, it could be used as a courtesy title, although there is nothing to suggest it must be used in this way.
That is true, but it is not unusual for the lower peerage to be used as a courtesy title. The most recent example is the Duke of Fife, who is also the earl of Southesk. However, after the late Duke inherited his father's earldom, it was announced that his eldest son, the heir, who was styled as the Earl of Macduff would now be styled as the earl of Southesk. This has been the intention of the family for Nicholas to use Lord Brabourne as the courtesy title, but he has chosen not to use it.
