Harry and Meghan visit Charles and the Queen

@ Marlene A Eilers Koenig

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in England on Wednesday for a "secret-face-to-face meeting" with Queen Elizabeth II. The report was exclusively broken by  The Sun's Royal correspondent, Matt Wilkinson.  They were still in Windsor earlier today as several people were arriving for the Maundy Thursday service, and spotted the duke and duchess.

They will spend two nights at Frogmore Cottage before flying to The Hague on Friday.

The couple also met with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, during their first joint visit to the United Kingdom since stepping away as working royals in March 2020.

It is not known if the duke and duchess brought their two young children, Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor.

The meetings took place on Thursday.

The Duke and Duchess will be in the Netherlands this weekend for the start of the Invictus Games. which will be held in The Hague.

A spokesman for the couple has confirmed the visit stating that the Duke visited his grandmother.   The visit had been scheduled in her diary.

I am happy that the 2 of them got to see the Queen. I hope they brought the kids with them.
I admittedly get nervous each time the Queen cancels an engagement.
