Carol's coronation may be delayed
August 4, 1930
Romanian court circles have acknowledged that the "complete failure of all efforts" to induce Princess Helen to take back King Carol "as her husband" has caused the postponement of Carol's coronation, which was scheduled for this coming October.
Preparations for the ceremony will continue, and King Alexander of Yugoslavia, Carol's brother-in-law "has promised to attend," will continue, according to the New York Times, but if further reconciliation attempts fail, the Coronation probably will be postponed until the spring of 1931.
