Marlene,
You look to have had a fabulous time mingling with all those royals! Are you so savvy about them all that you could identify them by their names?
Were there any British royals there? I thought Prince Michael of Kent and his wife might have been on the guest list.
Rex, I have known some of the royals, personally, for some time -- it is an honor .. and I've been to Serbia twice as the guest of Crown Prince Alexander, who is a real sweetie.
I nearly died when I introduced myself to Georg Friedrich, and said, How do you do, I am Marlene .. and he said Marlene Koenig .. and went on about knowing about my work, etc. Some of the guests I have corresponded with for many years, and others are good friends. I felt very privileged to be there
The Prince of Wales was invited, but declined .. he was in Romania visiting the family several months ago. All of the guests stayed at the hotel -- and security was tight. It would have been hellacious if the Prince of Wales was also at the hotel ..
Some great pictures, Marlene! It truly looked likie it was an amazing event!
You look positively teeny-tiny next to Georg Friedrich! I'd guesstimate that he's in the 6'4 range, and next to him, you seem to be about 4'11!! lol
I felt like I shrunk in the wash. I am only 5'1 1/2" short.
Marlene, I love the pictures. What was on your plate? Bea
a salmon pate .. yummie
