French President Fauré arrived at the Russian embassy in Paris shortly before 10:30. The Russian emperor and empress Nicholas and Alexandra got into the carriage with the president and drove to the Louvre. The crowds along the route cheered and provided an ovation for the visiting Imperial couple, who are in France for an official visit.
In the afternoon, the Imperial couple visited Versailles. Their 11-month-old-daughter, Grand Duchess Olga was "taken to the palace in an open landau, sitting in the lap of nurse, who took the baby's hand to wave and throw kisses to the crowd, which responded with cheers."
