HRH The Duchess of Kent passed away at Kensington Palace on September 4. She was the wife of HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.. she was 92.
The Duchess of Kent was the oldest member of the British Royal Family. She was born Katharine Mary Worsley at Hovingham Hall, in Hovingham, York, on February 22, 1933. She was the only daughter of Sir William Worsley, 4th Baronet, and his wife, Joyce Morgan Brunner. Her nephew, William, is the 6th baronet.
Her Royal Highness is survived by her husband, HRH the Duke of Kent, her children, George, Earl of St. Andrews, Lady Helen Taylor, and Lord Nicholas Windsor, and ten grandchildren: Edward, Baron Downpatrick, Lady Marina-Charlotte Windsor, Lady Amelia Windsor, Columbus Taylor, Cassius Taylor, Eloise Taylor, Estella Taylor, Albert Windsor, Leopold Windsor and Louis Windsor.
