Queen Victoria is said to be in good health as she is "making an assiduous round of her old retainers" at Balmoral, according to a special cable to the Chicago Daily Tribune.

The 80-year-old queen's health is said to be "admirable."  Her advice has been sought for the new book, The Life of Lord Beaconsfield, a study of the late "great statesman," which is nearly finished.  Boxes of  correspondence have been brought to the Queen, which has had each "document read aloud to her."
