Sophie Brandram, the elder daughter of Paul Brandram and his first wife, Jennifer (Mrs. Robert Enslow) is engaged to marry Humphrey Walter Voelcker. The engagement was announced in today's Daily Telegraph.
Paul Brandram is a first cousin of King Constantine II of the Hellenes, Queen Sofia of Spain, King Michael of Romania, and the Duke of Aosta. His mother, Princess Katherine of Greece and Denmark, was the youngest child of King Constantine I and Queen Sophie (nee Prussia) of Greece. After her marriage to Richard Brandram, a British national, in 1947, Katherine was styled as The Lady Katherine Brandram, with the precedence of a duke's daughter. This status was granted by King George VI.
Mr. Voelcker heads the Pubs & Leisure division of Motcomb Estates. (Alexander Spencer-Churchill is responsible for Acquisitions for the same company).
Humphrey is the son of Peter Paul Voelcker.
Humphrey was born in April 1980.
