Yes, the weather was great - hot, sunny for the entire two weeks ... just a few drops of rain, unlike the frequent thunderstorms in Northern Virginia.
I stayed in an Airbnb in Camden Town on Kentish Town Road, a few minutes walk from Camden station. My host was terrific, as was her adorable cat Wolfie. After checking in, I headed back out to find a place to eat and then make my way to the V&A to see the Cartier exhibit. I booked my ticket more than a month earlier. June 13th was the only day available. I had a 5:30 p.m. entry.
This exhibit is outstanding, a truly sparkling experience. It is worth trying to get a ticket.

I spent several hours in the exhibit before heading back to Camden. I wanted a good night's sleep, as I had set the alarm for 5 a.m. to secure a front row place for the Trooping of the Colour.

Oh, my word! VERY VERY sparkly! Thanks for the tour, Virginia
Thank you Marlene for including the gallery cards! It was so interesting and informative to scroll through and read that so many of these "beauties" are now owned by the "Cartier Collection." I am eagerly awaiting your next installment!
Wow....such magnificent pieces. Times have changed. What is the chance any of those tiaras would be worn in public nowadays?
Dear Anonymous who is Virginia? Royal admirer, several of the tiaras are still private (royal) ownership. The Manchester tiara was on loan to the V&A for some years, but then the late Duke of Manchester gave it to the nation in lieu of taxes
