funeral for Princess Anastasia

The funeral for the late Princess Anastasia of Greece was held today at the Russian Church in London, reports the Chicago Tribune. Leading the mourners were her husband, Prince Christopher of Greece and her son, William Leeds and his wife, Princess Xenia of Russia. Others attending the funeral included Dowager Queen Olga of Greece, and Prince and Princess Nicolas, Prince and Princess George and Prince Andrew of Greece.
King George II was "was not represented" as the Greek government is not recognized by the United Kingdom.
Princess Anastasia's body will be taken to New York by ship for "burial in about a fortnight."
The former Nonnie May Stewart was also the widow the tin plate magnate William B. Leeds.
