I have fun consulting the wonderful index in the back of "Berlin Diaries 1940-45" by Marie Vassiltchikov to reference these names from a century ago. I don't know exactly how they line-up to this wedding couple but the family background is amazing.

Berlin Diaries is one of my fav royal books. Karl Rudolf was the 13th Duke of Croy. He married an American, Nancy Leishman, whose father was an American Ambassador to several countries, including Germany. They had two children: Carl and Antoinette (who was a friend of Missy's). Carl married Princess Gabriele of Bavaria. Their eldest son is Rudolf, the present Duke (the father of Xenia) Here is my post on the death of Carl https://royalmusingsblogspotcom.blogspot.com/2011/06/hsh-carl-14th-duke-of-croy.html Antoinette was married three times. She died in 2011. Marie Luise was her younger sister, also married three times.

Thank you, Marlene, for unraveling the family tree and I appreciate the link for your older post regarding Carl's death. Cheers!
