HI & RH Archduchess Gabriella of Austria and HRH Prince Henri of Bourbon-Parma were married today in an outdoor Roman Catholic wedding at Schloss Tratzberg in Jenbach, Austria.

The castle was closed today for a wedding.

The couple are second cousins as they share common grandparents, Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg and her husband, Prince Felix of Bourbon-Parma.

They got engaged on October 22, 2017.  Eight days later, on October 30, Gabriella gave birth to their daughter, Victoria Antonia Maria-Astrid Lydia.

There are photos on social media, but due to copyright I cannot take them from an Instagram page and post here without the permission of the copyright holder.

My article on the engagement, which includes the numerous genealogical relationships between the newlyweds.

I'm hoping they have married for the best reasons, ie that they are genuinely commited rather than just to please family and legitimate Victoria. Considering the marital record amongst Henri's immediate paternal family, I hope they manage better.

I have a question. Now that they are married, do you maybe know will their daughter Victoria Antonia be retroactively recognized as Princess by the (Head) of the family? Is it maybe known how would she be styled now?

There was a similar case when Princess Lavinia of Yugoslavia was born and despite the fact that titles did not legally exist in Yugoslavia, she was later retroactively granted the title of Princess with HRH style by Head of the family.

Marc, that would be a question for the duke of Parma to answer.

Thank you. I am hoping that we will know soon.

Hi Marlene. I'm wondering if you have heard through the grapevine whether or not the Duke of Parma has retroactively granted Victoria with the title of Princess and the style of HRH?
